PHOTOGRAPHY
My photographic experience came
the hard way. I spent years working in London as an advertising
art director, peering over the shoulders of some of the best
photographers in town and interfering with every aspect of their work as I tried to get them to take the photograph
I wanted. (You get the picture? I did, mostly.)
I got to learn a lot about lighting
and composition, dealing with expensive props, photographers,
assistants, models and clients, oh, and finding my way back
to the office with my depth-of-field much reduced after a
long day on the Chateau Latour.
Nowadays I've cut out the crowd,
shooting 35mm digital straight into the computer. No Polaroids,
no waiting days for the transparencies to turn up, no paying
a small fortune for any corrective image work. Today, thanks
to my Canon, Mac and Photoshop there are no joins to see.
Humm, time for another cup of tea.
I work for business and private
clients, photographing industrial images, portraits, landscapes,
PR, product & pack shots, art & craft, architecture,
interiors. (Pretty much whatever you want, in fact, give me
something new and I'll love it.)
